Your journey begins with an initial consultation and walkthrough of your property to establish your goals, vision and budget. We will then launch the design phase and the creation of your dream landscape. 

We will establish comprehensive conceptual and technical plans with a full 3D rendition of your property and home,  map out a plan view and a video walkthrough of the final plan. You will receive a detailed plant list by specimen name, size and quantity. Once complete, we will work with your chosen installer to realize the vision.

Our proposal will be presented via a sit down presentation and we will deliver to you a binder with design files and printed color perspectives. 

At this stage, your design is ready for execution.

As an option, we offer our hourly consulting and coordination services. This service includes plant selection, placement and consultation with the installer to execute the vision and any ongoing guidance.

At Cactus Stud Designs, we excel at understanding your specific property including heat zones, shading and any other environmental factors. Because we grow and nurture plants, we understand what specimens will work so you don't have to recreate the palate each season. You can rely on our expertise to approach your project in a logical, sustainable way.  Our designs are low maintenance and beautifully inspired by nature! 

Alex, the owner, is a UC ANR certified Master Gardener, excels in software based CAD design, brings decades of horticulture and design experience, and is presently a board Member of the Southern California Palm Society.

We are knowledgeable in sustainable horticulture design and the unique requirements of our challenging climate.  We match the right plant for the right space. We understand the unique light, temperature and  irrigation requirements of all our specimens. This allows us to select the most appropriate material for your environment that allows you to enjoy your collection year after year.
