The production of artisanal planters, like those from Indigenus, follows a slow and meticulous process. Some designer planters, crafted from a combination of wood and stone, can take up to 20 man-hours to complete. This process involves significant time, skill, and craftsmanship. All planters utilize GRC (glass reinforced concrete) through a two-skin technique, featuring an outer face coat made from locally sourced aggregates, sands, oxides, and cements from Africa, which are carefully layered and finished by hand to align perfectly with sustainable gardening principles.
